ACT women end Championship on a high note

The ACT Women ended their Nationals campaign on a high note after a convincing 18:12 win over South Australia in their last clash of the tournament, on Sunday in Perth. The win securing 5th spot for ACT.

The team advanced in the quarter-final against Western Australia, after finishing second in their group, but came unstuck in the second half despite having a healthy lead at the break. The ACT had been leading 10:4 at the break but WA rallied back into the game to win 20:16 and secure a spot in the semi-final.

ACT Women Results:

  • Round 1: NSW defeated ACT 23:9 (10:2)
  • Round 2: ACT drew SA 19:19 (8:8)
  • Qrt final: WA defeated ACT 20:16 (4:10)
  • 5th place play-off: ACT defeated SA 18:12 (12:7)
